So you are saying that the King overthrew him self.  Made his family run to other countries for their safety... While the Religious Zealots that were installed to run the country were tyrannical (at best) where they had no problem subjugating women and the civilians of that country.

They went from "Normal" to the largest state sponsor of terror in the span of
47 years.  If the King could do this why didn't he do so with him leading the country??
