Subj : Ox Tail Soup Do To : All From : Ben Collver Date : Tue Mar 03 2026 06:45 am MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Ox Tail Soup Do Categories: Soups Yield: 1 Batch 1/4 c Flour 2 ts Salt 1/8 ts Pepper 2 lb Ox tail joints; up to 3 Water 3 Bay leaves 2 lg Onions; chopped 2 cl Garlic; minced 1/4 ts Thyme Salt; to taste Pepper; to taste 2 tb Soy sauce 2 tb Worcestershire sauce 1 cn Tomato sauce 3 lg Potatoes; diced 3 lg Carrots; diced 1 lb Okra; cut, fresh or frozen Cover bottom of large pot with oil and heat. Wash ox tail joint, drain off water, and dry with paper towel. Place flour, salt, and pepper in paper bag, flour joints lightly, and brown on all sides in bottom of pot. After browning, cover meat with water. Add onions, bay leaves, garlic, thyme, salt & pepper, soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, and simmer for 2 to 3 hours until tender. On last 30 minutes add 1 can tomato sauce, chopped or diced potatoes, okra, and carrots. Stir occasionally.
