A long time ago, we had a serial multiplexer that you'd telnet into on a
specific port, and it would either select the next free modem or a
specific modem, and connect via Int14h. A terminal program could talk to
the mux, and you could dial out via telnet.

Somewhere I have a photo of my desktop running OS/2, 4 copies of Procomm
Plus connected to 4 BBSes simultaneously. Truly, a Shamless Use of
Technology.
