Welcome to my Gopherspace.

I am signed up as a STEM Ambassador. As part of this, I have run various groups such as Code Club and STEM Groups. There is a local STEAM Cafe & discovery centre, which I help at and, hopefully be helping, on a volunteer basis to run workshops etc. I will be logging the time on the STEM website. Outside of this I am employed in a school.

Being pro-science. It is important to be able to keep up to date with developments, look up and research information, use critical thinking to assess information. This is essential in the world of mis / disinformation and search results dominated by AI.

As an advocate of free software (as defined by the FSFE,FSF et el). Free software is open to everyone and I believe people should be able to get involved. I am involved with projects such as Mission Libre, IRC Now, (OpenBSD), Shelllabs and The Devon and Cornwall Linux user group. Communities such as these possess an extensive range of skills, experience and knowledge;

I generally frequent IRC, Matrix and the Fediverse (mostly Mastodon). So happy to communicate via those communities. Please see contact section.
