Had to perform the same job on a bunch of nodes. ClusterSSH[1] is what people usually use to do this job. I didn't have it available, but dvtm[2] was. When run as "DVTM_TERM=xterm dvtm" (dvtm's terminfo was not installed on those nodes), dvtm does a pretty good job at multiplexing input to multiple nodes: Each keystroke is sent to each node simultaneously.
