with the air finally breathable again, i went for a long walk in the forest today. i don't 
know how to put this except that it didn't smell like the forest, it smelled like you think
a forest smells. i mean, it smelled like a forest scented candle, or something artificial
based on our imagination of the thing and nothing like the thing itself.

it was like if you popped a grape in your mouth and instead of tasting like a grape,
it tasted like a grape flavored jolly rancher. the scent was uncanny and intoxicating
all at once.
