       Let's see, 100 years ago would have been 1925 during the Jazz Age
       between World War 1 and the Great Depression.  The Interstate
       freeway system had not been built yet.  The general population still
       had enthusiasm for public transportation and were supporting train
       and trolley systems.  Wide scale local agriculture was still a thing.
       Skinny dipping in public swimming pools wasn't just the norm, it was
       often required.

       > What's the best book you've read so far this year?
       
       The best book i've read so far is Arboreality by Rebecca Campbell.
       It's a collapsnik book that somehow manages to be cozy, peaceful,
       and optimistic.  It's a quick read and it has "replay value",
       meaning that it has enough depth to be worth reading again.

       Nice reversal there.  My problem with answering this question would
       be a reluctance to interfere with another person's freedom.  I can
       resolve this by answering that i would like to have my younger self
       call me.  I would advise him to listen to my present perspective and
       then do with it as he sees fit.
