The 2.0 Web version has an improved security system.
Registration with Captcha, protection against brute force
passwords, checking for bots, optionally you can make
viewing forums available only after logging in!

System Requirements:

- PHP 8.x;
- Any server with .htaccess support;
- Browser: Seamonkey 1.1.19, Kmeleon 1.5.4, Mozilla 32;
- JavaScript/Frames/HTML4/CSS support!
- Operating System: Windows 95 or later;
- Hosting Server: any;
- License: FreeWare;
- No Sql;
- UTF-8;

How to Install?

1) Unzip the archive to any directory;
2) Check for PHP support;
3) Check for .htaccess support;
4) Set the CMOD attribute to 777 for topics.txt, for
forum folder, blocked_users.txt, users.txt;
5) Enjoy!

Additional Settings:

1) topics.php - $topics_per_page = 10; 
Determine the number of topics on the page
2) topicview.php - (strlen($response_text) > 1000)
The maximum response length is 1000 characters
3) create_topic.php - (strlen($text) > 1000)
The maximum topic length is 1000 characters
4) search.php - $messages_to_show = 3;
Displaying the number of query match lines

Limiting the length of a request by a script
5) Add these lines to the topicview.php file immediately
after <?php if you do not want your forums to be visible
without login!

6) For security reasons, it is recommended to either
block direct access to *.txt files with the user database,
or change the names of the files!
7) Optionally, you can additionally protect reg.php
by prohibiting direct links with support host8.php
Add these lines to the reg.php after <?php lines

In file host8.php replace http://127.0.0.1/ to your
domain with "/" http://youdomain.com/
8) Protection against very long network requests
