[Exits: north east south west] <100%hp 100%mn 90%mv> n Gallow hill You are on a hill in the grassy plains. On this little hill you can see two gallows, with rotting human tissue hanging from the ropes. Off to the side a ways is a statue of immense proportion standing upon a huge granite pedestal. It is of an elvish lord being ripped at by taloned fingers of several demons from Hell. Your eyes stray to the plaque, and you read, "The Immortal Imrazor, Forgotten Lord of Numenor, eternally loses his life after a tirade upon the citizens of Thera in Midgaard. -- The high gods and goddess overlook the destruction of one who slaughtered mortals." Suddenly you see images of the others: Styx, Awrathre, Xyza, Thrym, Ceran, Adorno, Taerin, Julive, Jansen, all watching... and the statue comes to life, screaming for mercy and fighting the sharp talons ripping its flesh away. You blink... and it is a lifeless statue again, a moment in the eternal torture of Imrazor captured in stone. Midgaard no longer exists, a new city has arisen in its place, and most of the deities depicted here no longer interact with the mortals of this world, yet the fear and horror of Imrazor's tortures and cruelty remain in the memory of the peoples of Thera. [Exits: north east south west] <100%hp 100%mn 88%mv> nn Grassy plains You are among the rough grasses and herbs that grow upon a vast plain. [Exits: north south] <100%hp 100%mn 94%mv> n At the base of the foothills To the north and west of you the foothills begin to rise. Beyond the hills to the north are the purple mountains. Below you, rough grasses bow to the rough winds that blow through the plains. Hardy herbs attempt to resist, but their leaves flutter wildly in the wind. The plains spread out to the east, and you can barely make out a road leading through the grassy plains toward a village in the distance. [Exits: north east south west] <100%hp 100%mn 92%mv> n The gentle foothills Gently rolling foothills serve as home to rough grasses and hardy herbs. [Exits: north east south west] <100%hp 100%mn 90%mv> n In the steep foothills The path through this section of the foothills branches toward the east and west through similarly steep, rocky terrain. To the south, the path leads through a gently rolling hill. Here the vegetation is sparse, only the hardiest of plants dare grow upon the crags. To the north is a steep incline, so steep as to be called a cliff, if you were up there looking down here. It is high enough that you cannot get past it, and if you were up there, you might get dizzy looking down here. [Exits: east south west] <100%hp 100%mn 88%mv> n w The steep foothill You are faced with a steep craggy wall to the west. There is no passage in that direction. Toward the east, should you decide to move in that direction, are craggy rocks and a steep path through more foothills. To the south, gently rolling foothills lead toward a vast plain of grassland. The path leading north- ward seems to lead toward nothing, perhaps a drop in altitude, so have a care. You cannot see from here where it might lead, but you do see wildflowers lining the path, hardy flowers growing within the hard, rocky environment.
