The only thing on the counter was a small, neat stack of pamphlets. She took one. "-- Exhibit," and under this, in smaller text:

"In her lifetime the artist -- created around ten-thousand of these works--that are known--none longer than those on display. This exhibition presents a representative sample of pieces, showing the figures, landscapes and motifs to which she continually returned."
