She had got so thoroughly lost her only way home would be to find a bus headed towards central, then take her regular route back out. She'd stopped, all the same, to enjoy an oversized "half-serve" of laksa from the Laksa House--she could reliably find one in almost every neighbourhood, with seemingly no common ownership, the signage and interior decor changing wildly, but invariably too generous in their portion sizes. Under what circumstances would she ever manage a "full-serve"?
