I do not know where my pencil sharpener is, I instead sharpened my pencil with a knife. The method of taking a bit off and rotating the pencil slightly went well. The pencil very much approximated something round. I did not get a very sharp point, so I had to sharpen the lead. I ended up with a very badly formed pencil, but I did get a rounded lead that was fairly sharp. I was very likely hampered by my non-sharp knife. The second thing is how my knife became blunted. It was from gardening that a good friend--now fiancee--appreciated, and that involved cutting floral wire. You know it's love when you're willing to damage your tools. Post Script: Using my thumb to push the knife worked a lot better, and led to a not completely emabarassing sharpened pencil. Post Script Dated 19 March 2015: I just noticed the comma splice in the first sentence.
