Egypt was a great nation because it was the bread basket of the World 
in its day.  It was the bread basket because it did not have to rely on 
the rain but instead it waited for the Nile to overflow its banks to water 
its crops.
   Now America has been called the bread basket of the World and our 
farmers in the midwest rely on the Ogallala acquifer which is running out 
of water.  Is there a comparison?
