I still enjoy watching a space launch. I did as a kid, and yesterday I did it again. Artemis II is not an impressive spaceship though, at least not visually impressive. It looks more like a preschooler project built with toilet paper rolls. A nice hike in the woods, there are lots of track of the mountain lion. I almost turned around, but then I realized that I won't do much hiking if I'm worried about wild life. I picked up some rocks, and stayed on my guard. I feel lucky to have such a nice trail right behind my house. I received my first project grading for my tattoo training! It was really positive and with really good feedback. It got me excited to get to the next step. I am still dubious about this whole thing, but at the same time I'm realizing something about what is called the 'alt' or alternative lifestyle. It's not something that I've really looked into before. I am not a 'style' person, I don't participate in creating a solid visual identity for myself. Although I take the time to find nice clothing, nice shirts and generally care for my appearance (I would never wear a white t-shirt and jeans for instance) I never really associated with the goth, punk or raver community. As I am learning about tattoo, I realize that a lot of 'alt' community are attracted to this art. There is a tattoo show in June and I was looking at some of the vendors on there. There are a lot of punk/goth/wicca/shibori stores, which is somewhat more aligned with my way of life. I started to search about what this 'alt' community is. The whole SnM, kink, wicca as well as the cosplay crew is in there. Another avenue, another pocket of reality that I'd like to explore.
