The comfy playful psychonautes. I like psychedelics. I like doing them with other people too. I'd like to find a way to do more of them with people, in an non ceremonial way. I mean I like the ayahuasca and huachuma ceremonies. I like and respect the therapeutic uses of psychedelic. But, psychedelic are also a fun thing to do in a social gathering. There is the rave scene, which is nice, although non-existent around where I live. The problem with raves is that they are not comfy really. Smaller raves could be comfy (less than 50 peoples) but nothing like a good in-house event. I know plenty of people doing drugs too. But around my age group, they don't like the psychedelic much. They do blow, and drink, get as much wasted as possible. It's fairly toxic and not that great. It's an escape from reality, with more of a negative connotation. What I would like to see is a multi day event, at someone's house, where there is plenty of place to stay, good food, showers, good sound system, projection, nature around the place, like a like our mountains. Something conscious but not overly spiritual. Something fun, and more on the exploration than the healing. Like a fun psychedelic retreat. Where the fun part is also healing, playful. Dancing, creating, painting, massage, maybe sex if it comes in the play. I had some event like that in my life and I remember them fondly. I am not sure how I would go about to re-create that. Writing about it does start a process of imagining what it would look like. You would need to have different psychedelic, from magic mushroom, acid, mescaline and dmt, so we can alternate for multi-day exploration. I would also see the use of mdma to ease the process, but in lower dosage. There would be plenty of space for dancing and expression, a few hammocks around the property and the house. We could use some safe words to communicate when there is something that needs attention. Meditation time as needed, but not require. We would all cook and clean together... A small group, maybe 5 people? Something manageable. It depends on the experience of everyone too. If there are more experienced practitioners, there could be more people really. Anyway, some food for thought for this summer. Psychedelic retreat are popular around the region here, but I find them too structured and serious. Healing can be fun too!
