Boxing yesterday night. A complete change in my mood and energy. My body really need this exhaustion. Since Karate might not be happening this year, I might end up doing more boxing. It's quite the ride, over 2 hour of travel. But I hang out on the boat for 30 minutes each way, which give me some time to write, or draw or work. I forgot how pleasant this is. I might even go hiking today. I remember my magic mushroom hikes from last year. A micro dose in lemon, then a two hours hike in the forest. Quick and dirty. I'd often cry and reflect on my reality. Come back home to a new reality. The training was good. I though I'd be completely out of shape, but it wasn't the case. I was able to sustain most of the class, apart from the abs workout on the last 5 minutes. I just can't hold a plank for 2 minutes! Training makes me want to train more. The team was practicing right before our class. All the fighters that I saw during the competition a few months ago were there. It was nice to see their techniques and skills. One particularly aggressive fighter was there. Her bag work was scary, so low and fast. Her mom is also training with me after their class. Fighters likes fighters. No matter the size, the age, the gender. When you are a fighter, or a martial artist, you get triggered, you get curious when you see or sense another fighter. When I was doing my bag work, she came to sit closer to check things out. I'm sure my form was awful yesterday, but I had to output all my rage, fear, sadness in the bag. I needed to exhaust myself, hurt my arms, grunt, sweat, fall... But I saw her looking, I saw her wondering, could I beat this guy? What would it look like to fight each other? It's a funny thing to have a fight envy, an attraction, a desire to test your skill against someone else. I want to fight everyone. My body is barely sore today, I didn't push myself enough. That's okay though as I didn't want to hurt myself after a couple month of not training.
