28 Jul 2025 ------------ Eileen Og This one is again an interesting story, and a playful one if you ask me. Whether it was a real story I don't know. I remember I have seen somewhere online suggesting that Petravore, where the story happened, is a fictional place. But be it real or not, it is still as entertaining. The story was told from the point of view of an admirer of young Eileen, the "Pride of Petravore". The young lady probably has captured the hearts of most of the boys in the town, but not the cattle jobber McGrath. What even worse was that "he never seemed to see the girl at all, even when she ogled him from underneath her shawl". This, however, really tickled Eileen's mind and she even made her advance, in the end tied the knot while leaving a sour taste in the boys' mouth. Lesson learned - "When you do your courting make no display. If you want them to run after you, just walk the other way. For they're mostly like the Pride of Petravore". I don't know too much myself but I doubt love works this way. However, I think some would be interested in the "challenge", so who knows. The version I listened to was by Aed, but there are many different versions so by any chance if you are interested, feel free to explore! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
