OUT BEHIND THE BARN

       Afraid of everything, but death.
       
       When technology outlives its worth, or their keeper hadn't
       need for it no more, they get brought out behind the
       barn. It's a solemn affair.
       
       I am feeling overwhelmed by the amount of technology that I
       own and use. I have a computer setup as a router. OpenWRT
       running on a wifi 6 access point. LED light fixtures in
       rooms. Self-hosted services, sites, appliances. A
       workstation. And its backups.
       
       Tech debt. My time has become indebted to maintaining the
       technology my life employs. Or else the tech needs to
       disappear---brought out behind the barn.
