------------------------------------------------------------------- +title: Story of an entrepreneurial family +date: Mon, 05 Jan 2026 04:37:02 +0100 +author: -fab- ------------------------------------------------------------------- This is part of the story of my family as I remember it. Just to show you how the "financially better situated" people work from my perspective, although I'm not really a part of it. The family from my mothers side was a family of entrepreneurs since my great-grandfather, maybe even since before him. The Corporation of my great-grandfather was later inherited by my grandfathers younger brother and had roughly 200 workers. It was a metal working industrial corporation. My Grandfather was the "least" successful of his brothers and had a midsize firm with 20 workers at its height. The story will be mostly about him and especially his son, lets call him H. (my uncle). My Mother was his first child and has a younger sister (who left the family the day she was of legal age, knowing what was going on.). Then several years later came *finally* for my grandfather his only son H. H. is 6 years older than me (my mom was 22 when I was born) and was a scrupulous and violent asshole since he was a little child. My mom did have an early divorce when I was very young and the situation was very difficult for my mom. So she had to serve as a secretary and had to scrub the workers washing rooms among other things (she was only a woman) for my grandfather. I don't know exactly when she managed to "jump off" and she became a Kindergartener. But my grandfather always wanted his son H. to lead the firm. And so he was "reared": He always enforced what he wanted and was also violent to me at times. When he grew older he even was violent against my grandma (who was very good to me). But that was the way my grandfather wanted H. to be: A scrupulous, violent pig who may do everything. My grandfather even didn't intervene when H. got violent to my grandma. The perfect leader of the firm. My grandfather thought that he would be nursed by my mother when he was old (which I would have forbidden, and my mother hadn't done it anyway) and financially provided by H. But as you sow, so you shall reap and H. kicked him out the house into a cheap retirement home, the day my grandfather became annoying. I think he never visited him. This is the way "the better people" want their children: Scrupulous assholes so they can be the leaders of their legacy. Of course they don't reckon that their own "flesh and blood" will turn against them, the day they got in power. H. still leads the firm, but we don't have any contact to this asshole. We don't need him and I *really* hate him. I wish him to die of testicle cancer. For my grandpa I'm not sure if I should feel sorry for him or if it's his own fault. I tend to the latter. All in all - Have fun! -fab-
