@JennyFluff Don't worry about stressing it. I have the same problem from time to time, others do not. Keep trying, but it is probably a good idea to tell irssi to be very patient when pinging the server. :)Just now I managed to crash one of the two servers by updating the HTML with the new 2M link you provided (thank you!) because the floppy drive in that system is bad .. so all the traffic is now on the secondary.Looks like someone was driving some web traffic there in the last couple of days.. :) http://floppy.museum/files/u202601.htm

@ariadne why are smart people like that still in the us? Most other countries under this level of effed up management suffer from such brain drain they can likely never recover. I know there are good reasons and my question is rough but I just feel so sorry for everyone who have to spend their smarts on this crap instead of making the world better. :(

@nina_kali_nina So what's the total size of that thing, with winbar but before those other monstrosities are installed?Also, i did not know about winbar. I wish I did back then. What I did have however was WPS for WIndows. It was borderline usable, but of course had none of the actual OS/2 WPS bells despite looking similar.

@nina_kali_nina Even .sys files can be UPXed, but with .exes with a lot of extra data segments it tends not to work. The weirdest failure is xcopy.exe - it simply won't find any files to copy if you upx it..

@novelgazer ugh, kids these days! :-DHi back to Annie! I'm doing locally meh (got bitten by an extra nasty tick, spent 3 months in bed and still recovering), but globally pretty awesome - the last few years I have been working as an SRE for Wikipedia, I love my colleagues, and in the face of all the *gestures at the world in general* it feels amazing to be able to do something that helps. And lots of stuff going on on the inside of this skull too, but mostly hard but good stuff, which is also a new experience :-DHope you're doing well too! What have you been up to in the last... 15 years? :-D
