Now, Nantucket Lit is proud to present Eisenhart's latest short story, **Father's Day** (https://nantucketlit.com/books/seftoneisenhart/fathersday/index.html). In addition to the ebook edition, it's also the first story in a new linefrom Nantucket Lit: limited-edition, collectible chapbooks (https://nantucketlit.com/fathersday). And now, readers, some more words with writer Sefton Eisenhart: **NICHOLAS BERNHARD:** In our last interview, you said that you prefer total quiet while working. Living in a big city, what are some ways you find quiet time to write? **SEFTON EISENHART:** As much as I may try to write in cafes or parks, I have come to accept that the only place I can get any real writing done is in my residence. Whether or not it's quiet is largely in God's hands. **NB:** In the story, Ida is instructed that "Air conditioners are dinner invitations." What was your research process for the various burglary techniques described? **SE:** Most of my research comes from having some friends who are current and former criminals. **NB:** Your description of the mayflies descending by the millions on the Memorial Bridge brought back memories. Two years ago, Colorado was slammed by Miller Moths, I had to clear thousands of them out of the buildings at my job site. As you approached a building you could hear them tapping against the walls. Living in the northeastern US, what are some of your bug imbroglios? **SE:** The mayfly situation actually occurred while I was living in Wrightsville, PA. It was a multi-night swarm of biblical proportions. **NB:** Like me, you enjoy journaling. Is there a particular brand of notebook you prefer, or a particular brand of pen/pencil? **SE:** I use Moleskine Cahiers, preferably with gridded paper and Zebra F-301 ballpoint pens. **NB:** Where have you been finding new books lately? Are you in any book clubs, or finding things at bookstores/libraries? **SE:** Like many readers, I always seem to have a stack of books waiting to be read. Here in Brooklyn, I get a lot of stuff from Molasses Books (https://www.instagram.com/molassesbooks/?hl=en). Not only are they a used bookshop, but they are also a cafe/bar that stays open late and it makes for a good hangout. **Father's Day** *is available for sale as an EPUB file (https://buy.stripe.com/cNi6oGeyI7Rw4p92rbgA80j), a numbered edition of 50 copies (https://buy.stripe.com/4gM28q0HS0p45tdc1LgA80e), and a a lettered edition of 26 copies (https://buy.stripe.com/4gM28q1LW2xcbRBe9TgA80f).
