ifwiki: Alan
       
       This directory contains ALAN: the Adventure Language, comprising
       documentation, a compiler and an interpreter.
       As of ALAN 2.7.0 the compiler is now included in the freely distributable
       package. See file ANNOUNCE in any of the archives for details.
       
       Note: The documentation files are no longer part of the interpreter packages
       but should be downloaded separately.
       
       The version 2.7 interpreters cannot run version 2.6 games;
       interpreters and documentation for version 2.6 are in directory 'old'.
