This is the first post on this phlog. I've been around gopherspace
for quite some time, reading other people's gopher holes and I
should say that it is always a positive and rewarding experience.
Generally speaking, posts, projects, and the rest of things I find
here is always useful and/or interesting. I guess the fact that, in
this space, by its very nature, influencers and other entities trying
to sell us nonsense can’t really thrive has a lot to do with it.

In this space I feel myself at home because people around here are
more or less like minded, people who doesn't follow the latest
trendy social network, people who don't pass all day long
doomscrolling on a cell phone. Many people have a technical profile
and share lots of wisdom and resources, and the majority are people
who knew the same internet with wich I grew up.

I've been wanting to create my own gopherhole for a while but I also
wanted to develop my own gopher server software, so I took a little
longer to show up here ;-). Finally I rolled up my sleeves and
you're reading this post thanks to the first private beta version
of Goophy, my gopher server software made with C.
