The following information updates the R:BASE 5000 User Manual to reflect the
1.2.0 release:

On protected mode systems R:BASE can be configured to run under Context
Manager. R:BASE has been linked in protected mode and can run in upper
memory, allowing multiple copies of R:BASE to run simultaneously on the same
workstation.

Page 13	System Requirements section:

These are the current supported versions of software:

		    CTOS version 9.10 or higher
		     BTOS version 8.2 or higher
		     CTOSVM 2.4 or higher
		     BTOS II 3.0.2 or higher
		     CTOSXE 3.0
		     XEBTOS 7.2

CTOS ISAM II 1.1.6 or higher

At least 605K of main memory available on the workstation
where R:Base 5000 is running after CTOS, ISAM, and other
system software are loaded into memory.

3550 free sectors of disk space on the server workstations
[Sys]<sys> directory to contain the R:BASE system files.

	System Restriction:

R:BASE will not run on the following configurations:

B27 with a graphics slice running BTOS 8.2 ClstrMp
Operating System or BTOS II 3.0.2 ClstrLfs Operating
System with R:BASE and ISAM II loaded local.

B26 with a graphics slice running BTOS II 3.0.2 ClstrLfs
with R:BASE and ISAM II loaded local.

B26 or B27 are not supported as Server workstations.

GC003 slice with a VM003 monitor and a resolution of
		     80 x 29.

Systems that have the capability to display in
resolutions greater than 80 columns will display part of
the Executive screen header in the right hand corner.
The date and time will not be refreshed on the screen
while in R:BASE. On Enhanced Video CPUs the screen is
		     not refreshed below 29 lines.

The RCompile program requires that the RCompile.MSG file
be located on the local [Sys] volume, rather than at the
server's [Sys] volume. All other files may be located
		     at [Sys].

Page 16	Second paragraph, last sentence:

You need at least 605K of user memory available after the
CTOS Executive, ISAM, and other system software is installed
in order to run R:BASE with Resident ISAM.

Add to the end of paragraph: Environments running protected
mode Operating Systems must use Resident ISAM Service.

Delete lines: You must perform either procedure from the
system directory of the master workstation ([sys]<sys>).

R:BASE and ISAM must be installed on the same volume or same
board on XE systems. It is not necessary to have ISAM
installed locally in addition to ISAM on the server.

Page 17	The default ISAM configuration is set for 5 users. To
install an ISAM configuration manually, use the following
		values:

Page 810	Add the following sentence to the Using the TALLY Command
section after the sentence If a column contains many rows
with unique values, R:BASE may not be able to tally every row
in the table. (insert this sentence) The Tally command has
a limit of 6359 unique values. There is no limit on the
number of rows that can be tallyed, just the number of unique
		values.
