Memory Requirements:

approximately 180 sectors on disk.

Changes from release 3.31:
     1. Improve error handling for missing sectionsfiles of a SMTP message.

Changes from release 3.30:
     1. Wrap long text lines at 78 characters.
     2. When the system date and time has not been set, Intermail will not
        process mail.

Changes from release 3.29:
     1. Corrected the To and From fields on Autoforwarded messages.
     2. Corrected the handling of spaces in the CC field of an incoming SMTP
        message.
     3. Prevent Intermail from hanging up when mail was received for a
        recipient addressed as UserNameLocalCntrRemoteCntr.
     4. The InterMail Version number has been added to the Received header.

Changes from release 3.28:
     1. On incoming SMTP mail each To, CC, and BCC field is now stored
in its own CTMail message component.

Changes from release 3.27:
     1. A problem involving the loss of character(s) in lines that have
begin as the first word of a line in the text of a message was
        corrected.

Changes from release 3.26:
     1. A problem involving the loss of character(s) in the text of a
        message was corrected.

Changes from release 3.25:
     1. Improved error code reporting to the log file.

Changes from release 3.24:
     1. The text of the message no longer disappears when header suppression
is on and the message contains a CC field.
     2. InterMail now adds the local center name to the TO and CC fields
to handle a Reply from a remote SMTP system.

Changes from release 3.23:
     1. InterMail now generates a Return Receipt message for messages
        transferred from CTMail to SMTP.
     2. InterMail now reformats the TO and CC fields to handle a Reply
        from a remote SMTP system.

Changes from release 3.22:
     1. Corrected a problem that could occur if the from field exceeded 40
        characters.

Changes from release 3.21:
     1. InterMail was not removing CTMail Delivery Confirmation message files.

Changes from release 3.20:
     1. When the size of a message exceeded the size of the Mail Server's
ToBeDelivered message storage area, the Mail Server stores the message
in a file in the mailbox directory. InterMail was not removing
        these files.

Changes from release 3.14:
     1. Added parameter 4 log file password.
     2. Outgoing messages (CTMail to SMTP) can now be addressed to any
center name configured in CTMail. Before, these names had to be
SMTP and uuSMTP. These names can now be any center names of the
        form Name and uuName.
     3. Incoming messages in the past always originated from center names
SMTP and uuSMTP. Now parameter 5 specifies the Incoming Center
Name that mail will originate from. These will be of the form Name
or uuName. If this parameter is not provided, it defaults to
SMTP. This makes existing installations backward compatible.
     4. Improved error handling and reporting.
     5. Log file layout more consistent with CTMail.
     6. Linked message files from SMTP are now handled correctly. Linked
message files are produced from SMTP mail delivery failures when an
attempt is made to return the message to the CTOFISBMAIL user.
     7. Changed the processing loop to eliminate delays between the processing
        of incoming and outgoing mail.
     8. InterMail now uses the SMTP MessageId as the CTOFISBMAIL Message
ID for incoming mail and passes the CTOFISBMAIL Message ID as the
MessageID to SMTP. This way a message always has the same ID
throughout the entire path through InterMail.
     9. InterMail no longer uses the InternetCT host name instead of the SMTP
        domain name in some messages.
    10. InterMail now correctly removes files from the SMTP center directory.
    11. The datetime and message id were added to the SMTP Received: header.
    12. InterMail can now handle messages addressed to an unlimited number of
        CTOFISBMail recipients.

Changes from release 3.13:
     1. Errors that occur during program initialization are reported to the
screen and to the operating system log file (PLog).
     2. The local hostname has been changed from 12 to 64 characters.
     3. Messages are stamped with 24 hour clock.
     4. Implemented @host:user@host message routing.
     5. Implemented numeric host addressing (i.e. [132.159.3.4]).
     6. Corrected an ERC=80 crash when the hostname could not be verified.
     7. Added a lookup for the hostname SMTP_MAIL_GATEWAY if the hostname
in the message could not be verified.

Changes from release 3.12:
     1. Corrected the processing of CTBMail Copies field.
     2. Corrected the destination of the delivery confirmation
        message.

Changes from release 3.11:
     1. Added SMTP header suppression. This is activated by
putting an N in the phone number of the SMTP center.

Changes from release 3.1:
     1. Fixed host name length limitation when messages were
        originated in Mail.
     2. Fixed problem caused when Mail refused a mail center
name. InterMail would leave the SMTP queue entry marked
and would not deliver an additional mail.

Changes from release 3.0:
     1. Fixed various uuencodeuudecode problems dealing with
        messages exchanged with CCMail:
     2. Changed TCPIP host lookup to accept longer host names.

Changes from release 2.11:
     1. Added uuSMTP center to support uuencodeduudecoded
        messages.

Changes from release 2.1:

configured to accept mail for any valid mail center.

This caused InterMail to stop accepting messages from
        Mail.
     2. InternetCT serial number checking introduced.

Changes from release 1.0:
     1. InterMail now supports attachments. The use of
attachments is linked to the availability of the File
Transfer Protocol daemon provided with InternetARPA.
     2. Fixed a problem establishing InterMail as a
communications manager with some BMail systems.
     3. InterMail now correctly removes SMTP messages when they
        are transferred into Mail.
