UNetbootin is good software. You could have just ignored it. Getting angry doesn't help keep the thread clean, posting more windows software to drown out noise would have.
Linux is fine. I have no problems using it as my desktop OS. I have no problems using it to run servers. I have no problems using it as my router.
Windows and MacOS is spyware. I will not make a single argument for or against anything beyond this because it all comes down to personal preferences. Spyware however should be illegal.

Heard it isn't actually compatible with modern hardware, and development happened in virtual machine after the death of bios. But I blame hardware and glowniggers on that.

What's even the point of Arch if 99% of users end up just installing almost everything you get on literally any Ubuntu-derived distro?
You go through so much effort to recreate what's already readily available and then you're stuck with a rolling release model that means you'll invariably wake up one day and find out your computer's sound doesn't work anymore
Unless you're explicitly making something minimalist like a HTPC or turning a yellowing eMachine monstrosity into a seedbox, there's absolutely no reason to use Arch. Even then, there are better options, even just plain headless Debian. Arch is a LARP distro for idiots at the peak of Dunning-Kruger who want to feel smug without actually understanding what they're doing.
Install gentoo.

Some people use rolling release distros cause they want new software updates, things like debian usually have programs a good amount of versions behind between releases.
Personally I use no software where "bleeding edge" as they call it would be important, but also I only use Debian for the server. My daily driver is W10 LTSC

7 was "tolerable" at best, they fucked up the Control Panel and there are too damn many pop-up warnings on everything. Everything after it is even worse though.
XP was peak Windows but even aside the Microshit propagandizing about how if you use it scary Russian hackers will touch your microchips and make your testes explode, it's so damn crusty for modern use with its inability to handle really large files, long directory names, etc. etc. and other features that I've been spoiled with on Linux.

I already had MPD on my Arch PC to play internet radio, so I expected the process to be roughly the same. Instead, the people who built the Debian package just decided what my configuration should look like.
On Arch, I was given nothing but the executable, some docs, and blank config file templates to be copied to wherever I want them to be.
On Debian, it automatically decided for me that what I want is a system-wide, root-level installation. It already placed a config file in /etc, filled with all sorts of weird garbage (setting the music library directory to somewhere in /var... what?). It created a new mpd user and decided the daemon will run under it. The real punchline is that for all the sensibility, the config they imposed didn't activate any of the necessary audio outputs.

No. They were good maybe 30 years ago, but there are plenty of modern alternatives to virtually all GNU coreutils (usually written in Rust for some reason).
I replaced less for moor as my default pager, eza instead of ls, fd instead of find, ripgrep instead of grep, and sd instead of GNU sed.
I'd replace all the perm stuff too (useradd, chmod, usermod, etc.) but I rarely use these so I couldn't be assed to find alternatives. I probably will if/when I change systems.
Although come to think of it, bash is good too. So bash and units, that's what GNU has going for it.

I upgraded one of my Macbooks to Tahoe this week and it sucks balls! I had a visual bug within 20 seconds of it being installed. and I've since had 2 more. It's things that have been working fine for >20 years, like Exposé. It's embarrassing.
The widgets were quite handy before, simply press F12 to see them all, tucked cleanly away from whatever you're working on. For some reason they decided it would be better to get rid of that widget space, and put them all right on your desktop, taking up a quarter of the area. What fucking idiot thought that would be a good idea?
