The company has been using the name as a licensing bundle for enterprise customers since 2017, but as of 21 April 2020, it now applies to the company's home and business offerings as well. Microsoft describes [2]Microsoft 365 as 'an integrated set of apps and services that puts AI and other cutting-edge innovations to work for you.' Practically speaking, it's just a new name that helps simplify an awkward collection of product plans and better reflects what the subscription includes.
