Schmitz Bare Bones Software has released [1]TextWrangler 5.5.2, adding compatibility with macOS 10.12 Sierra. The free text editor brings many of the fixes and improvements that were previously added to version 11.6.1 of BBEdit (TextWrangler's elder sibling; see '[2]BBEdit 11.6.1,' 24 August 2016), including three new commands (Zoom In, Zoom Out, and Actual Size) added to the Text Display submenu of the View menu, replacing the List Display Font setting in the Appearances preferences with a slider to adjust the font size, adding keyboard commands for Check Syntax (Command-K) and Run (Command-R), and fixing bugs that prevented scratchpad documents from remembering and restoring their state across open/close cycles.
