Schmitz Mozilla has updated its [1]Firefox Web browser to version 49.0 with improved performance on OS X systems without hardware acceleration and improved appearance of anti-aliased OS X fonts. It also adds controls to Reader Mode that enable you to adjust the width and line spacing of text, as well as adds the Narrate feature to read the content of a page out loud. Finally, Firefox 49.0 ends support for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, 10.7 Lion, and 10.8 Mountain Lion, as well as support for the Skype-like Firefox Hello communication client (introduced back in late 2014; see '[2]Firefox 34.0,' 7 December 2014).
