Schmitz St. Clair Software has released a major update to its Open and Save dialog enhancement utility with the release of [1]Default Folder X 5.0. In addition to bringing full compatibility with OS X 10.11 El Capitan (and erasing the previous version's requirement to turn off System Integrity Protection), Default Folder X 5.0 adds support for tabbed Finder windows in the Finder-click feature, enables you to apply default folders by file extension as well as by application, tracks recent files as well as recent folders, adds configurable keyboard shortcuts, and brings a new drag and drop sidebar for quick access to files and folders. If you purchased Default Folder X on or after 1 June 2015, you qualify for a free upgrade and your current registration code is all you need to activate Default Folder X 5.0.
