FBI Grants Agents Increased Freedom To Investigate Without Firm Evidence

The New York Times is reporting the FBI is giving its agents new leeway
to infiltrate organizations, search household trash, use surveillance
teams and search databases in domestic investigations. FBI agents will
now be able investigate people and organizations “proactively”
without firm evidence for suspecting criminal or terrorist activity.
