zx spectrum vega

Obviously we are all waiting with bated breath for our new
vega+'s, but how have people been getting on with the first
Vega? Will we have anymore upgrades? Has anyone received a
golden Vega?
Will it ever surface again once the vega+ hits our door mats?
I for one have given up trying to play the adventure games -
using the virtual keyboard is a no go.

well, for adventure games, you really need keyboard. Although
you can connect keyboard to vega+, than you need to connect it
to TV, but than u will realize there is only ugly A/V output you
can not stand. I recommend wait for Spectrum NExt, if you really
want to play adventure games or do some programming directly on
computer. But it is only my opinion, I know, that some guys were
satisfy even with A/V outputs. I personaly does not want to hurt
my eyes/we are all about 40ty right? :) / by reading some text
through A/V , its just too old and too low quality video output.
If only Vega+ had at least rgb or svideo.

or, someone else have a good TIP to use USB bluetooth and add
some small bluetooth full keyboard with size of vega+ and u can
pack both on the go. This can be solution perhaps? We will see,
I still did not see USB output on VEga+ , than we can start to
think of possible solitions :-)

Hello Peeto,
I'm in the verge of finishing a full BT to USB keyboard
translator, I'm confident it will work with the Vega+ as long as
it reads a regular USB keyboard output. For my initial testing I
used a LinkIt One board which is an Arduino based board with
built-in WiFi, BT, MP3, etc. I used a BT keyboard for iPad I got
a while ago, while having the LinkIt one connected as USB
keyboard to my ASUS laptop and it does work. I intend to use an
Arduino nano with an HC-05 (or similar) BT module. It will, most
likely work, the design will be pretty much straight forward and
will be built with of the shelf Arduino compatible boards but it
won't be 100% portable as it is just a hobbist concept altough I
will, of course, publish the software and how to put is
together.
Once I have my Vega+ (I still think RC will deliver), I'll see
if both the Arduino Nano and an HC-05 BT module can be fit in
it, there will be only 5 wires to connect/solder.
Surely, we will have to deal with regular video output but, it
is a start!
I'll also back the Next but until the campain starts the above
could temporarily do.
Cheers,
Jav

Hi John, can you past me model of your TV, please? If it does
not have AV/would be surprised, but it can happend/, than it
should have scart. You will need AV/scart reduction than. If it
does not have even AV nor SCART, you can buy AV/hdmi convertor,
but this is expansive, so fingers crossed your TV have A/V or
scart :-)
