Bluetooth controller/keyboard wish
By: milinks Date: November 12, 2016, 7:15 pm

The main thing that really made me focus on the Vega Plus at the
beginning was it being a handheld console, not an emulator on
any other devicer that half works. One thing I would love to see
as a function in this or any future model is bluetooth
function. I think this would be amazing, e so many options to
expand. For me, I would love to have a different option other
than a virtual keyboard. There are so many classic adventure
games, and text adventures, including The Hobbit, Neverending
story etc, that would be amazing if we had a bluetooth option to
a mini keyboard. I would like to know other peoples point of
view.

I myself am not into the adventure games, but I agree, using a
virtual keyboard is a pain, a Bluetooth keyboard would be a
great addition for the adventure gamers and program writers
alike. ;D

I am working on an Arduino based Speccy keyboard dongle.
Basically, my intentions were to be able to fit the Vega+ into a
regular Speccy case and connect the membrane terminals to it and
produce a USB keyboard output for the Vega+. Since the USB data
output will be same, I think I can adapt the dongle attaching a
BT interface for a regular BT keyboard, then connect the thingy
to the Vega+. I do not have a BT module for Arduino but I'll
order it today. If the Vega+ tryly recognized any USB keyboards
it should work right away.

[member=8]IngDuenas[/member] - that sounds an amazing concept. I
think you might have mentioned it on the Indiegogo thread. I
really miss my original 48K speccy, as bad as it sounds I loved
the membrane keyboard of the 48k. Its a marmite thing, love it
or hate it. I would be really interested in your progress.
Depending on your thoughts and progress its worth a seperate
thread. I'm going to create anopther thread for General Speccy
thoughts and ideas, this would be great.

[member=10]tm[/member] - that second one looks amazing! Not
being totally thick but I assume its two sided. Ive got to have
a look for that, with the Vega being small it would be great to
have something of similar size that you could put into a "TRAVEL
PACK" kind of thing. I really need to research the full specs
of the Vega to see what is an option.

@milinks yup, it's two sided.
When you hold it with the ok button upside and tilt it then its
act like a
bluetooth mouse, when you turn it around then the mouse function
turns off
and now works like a keyboard it's a nice keyboard. just so you
then you cant use it as a
joypad it's not good enough for that, it's just a keyboard...but
a nice keyboard.
This is the correct url for the one i have.

Ive got to say for the price, and the old saying of "you get
what you pay for" that is a Gucchi piece of kit! Just so you
know that phrase is my sons not mine, I wouldnt know a Gucchi
from a gobstopper :/ But it does look really good having had a
readup. I've had the keyring size bluetooth joystick things,
which are more gimmick that good.
I've got one of the mini wiress keyboareds with built in mouse

The problem is that te battery discharges so quickly that its
pretty useless. I've been looking for something that is the same
size (approximately) of the Vega plus so I can find a case to
carry them both, for on the go play.

I recomend this. Melee F10 pro.
Very useful. I use this to my Android TV Dongle Stick.
The remote controller have a built-in battery.
