ditch the leaderboard

The leaderboard helps zerg by giving them info on who is new and
experienced and they use this info to determine where to put new
spawners. It leads to cherry picking of experienced players.
experienced players end up deleting their bank file to keep
their ratio down and prevent zerg targeting them.

You are right, this is a known issue. But as an experienced
player I have to say, I dont have a problem being focused. Its
actually one of the better things which can happen in this game.
Therefore, I like the leaderboard.
The ability that players can remove their stats is annoying, but
can not be fixed I think.

How is the score calculated? There are players with losing
records ranked far higher than players with winning records. If
you want an informative leaderboard, it should show win
percentage.

u get 1 score for every win and 1 score for every few loses not
sure if it is 3 or 4

1 point for wins and one for every 4 losses.
I like the leaderboard. It allows to predict the abilities of
your teammates. It is not as useful for the zerg as players can
chose to delete their bank file. As an experienced zerg player
you should look at the playstyle rather than score anyways as
there are a ton of players with high scores but terrible win
rates. So yeah I don't mind it being there.

I play the majority of my zerg games without even looking at the
rating board. Granted, I make strikelings far in the back so I
don't need to choose a terran. I try damaging the terrans on 3
gas first with strikes, they have the most income & they are
most spread out. They are the obvious target even if they have 0
rating and another player has 1k xD
This is how you should do it^^ and most players actually do it
like that I think.

The focus is most of the games based on how fast you expand.
The faster you expand the more you will be focused x)
Rating is irrelevant.

One can get rid of the leaderboard if you reverse-engineer the
bank file format, and in addition the hash algorithmus that is
used by Zerg Hex to protect the values and then setup a number
for games won that results in an overflow for the signed int
that is used here. That deactivates the dashboard for all
players. I did this for some time to remove this clutter, but
other players were very confused because they got used to it.
So, people got used to the board, let it have them. Nobody gets
hurt.
