       Poll: What would you like for Zerg Hex?

       Hello dear players,
       I do not play the game myself too much anymore, so that's why I
       think it's a good idea to know the players point of view, and
       their vision for the game should it change. Balance and
       ease-of-play will always be aimed for.
       This is more of a broad view on what to aim for, detailed
       changes can be discussed in their own topic. Feel free to
       elaborate your choice in more detail if you like.

       I'll explain some of the options in more detail:
       Power Spikes
       Reaching certain researches or structures allow a significant
       strength increase for either offense or defense. This generally
       means allowing for more cost effective units or abilities after
       some investment in either time and/or resources.
       Counter Gameplay
       A strategy choice of an opponent can be fought more easily with
       certain other strategies. This should work both ways.
       Casual Gameplay
       Still making strategic decisions, but with less skill required
       to enact them. This includes automated behaviors like training
       on auto-cast. A higher APM should not much create a higher win
       chance.
       Wider Tech Trees
       Indicate more variety of choices. At the same tech level there
       are more options for transitioning.
       Longer Tech Trees
       Tech has more requirements of other tech. Generally taking
       longer to reach them. An example would be the Zerg Armor
       researches.

       I didn't find how to vote too^^
       Right now, Zerg hex doesn't need to add stuff (units, tech and
       more). Pliz don't make the mistake you did on the previous
       patches.
       I will explain: Last patch u added roaches upgrades to make
       zergs stronger to balance the fact that terran was too strong.
       Doing that could have worked but you didn't balance your update.
       The result was that during around 1 year every zergs played
       Roaches making most of the other units useless.
       You did the same with Italis, chem plant and Firebats.
       To resume our feelings, it seems that you add stuff to resolve
       problems which result in a new problem. Then you will add new
       stuff to resolve the new problem leading to another new problem
       and repeat the process haha.
       Adding stuff right now will only make the game worst. What we
       need is a stable patch.
       I will now go to the balance channel to try to explain the
       problems of the patch^^

       Ah sorry, I had locked the poll, you should be able to vote now.
       I added an option for favoring balance. It's to indicate how
       much it scales compared to other changes. I do intent to first
       address balance as it has already much activity from everyone.
       Should I add "lesser" counterparts for all options too? Feel
       like it's gonna be a huge list. Perhaps it can be mentioned in
       replies.
       For the category New Ideas I also intended for removal
       discussions, as long as balance is not the core motivation.

       I think the core of any strategy game should be counter
       gameplay.  Whatever the enemy team does, there should be a
       counter to it, and they should have a counter to your counter,
       and so on.
       Right now if all three terrans are aggressively pushing with T1
       marines, there is no zerg counter.  Just GG and hope to find a
       lobby with less aggressive terrans.

       FALSE !!!! There are a lot of counters but if you execute them,
       you will be weak to firebats.
       You can make roaches (with upgrades are the main counter).
       You can make primals, (irrelevant because roaches are way better
       now)
       You can make ultralisks, (irrelevant because roaches are way
       better now)
       You can make brutalisks, (kinda overkill)
       You can make infused Roaches.
       All these units (not brutalisks) are kinda weak to firebats.
       You can also heal big spines with infestor to just suppress
       watever t1 push you see lol.
       Basicaly everything in this patch counters T1 hahaha.
       So what is the way to be able to win against t1 push AND
       Firebats ? The answer is brutalisks.
       The only possible build to do for Zergs is to rush brutalisks
       while wining time with transfuses and that is ultra sad because
       brutalisk need a complete rework. (ask me for details).
       I supose players will then tell me that it is impossible to rush
       Brutalisks against t1 pushers. I will then answer that zergs
       player need to share money to achieve that goal.
       In most of my games i am able to make brutalisks around 20 min
       with a proper build.
       If there wasn't firebats we could rush ultralisks around 14/15
       min to stop the t1 pushers and win that way. That was what the
       real race was before all these patches.
       I really miss that time.

       So either eliminate FBs and make the game more one dimensional,
       or buff primals and ultras so they're good against FBs.
       In the current version no zerg make primals or ultras.  They are
       useless.  They need a buff.

       What will happen if you buff ultra ? brutalisks will disapear?
       firebats will disapear ?
       That is the problem when lot of units have the same purpose. The
       player will just do the best unit in the current meta and
       discard the others.
       That is the entire point we have on zerg hex. Units have kinda
       the same purpose so the player will just make the best current
       unit to win.
       Buffing/nerfing random units is useless and will not make the
       game better if the core problem isn't fixed.^^
       And the core problem is that most of units in zerg hex are
       useless and should be simply removed x) (or fused together lol
       you call it watever you want)

       I'm a super casual, I love to see videos on youtube of people
       playing the game, play it once in a while, but apparently I'm
       bad at it. Might be because my micro is bad or because my allies
       love to turtle in their based 50% of the time. Leaving me to be
       focused as the only one out.
       Well it happens, but that's public lobbies for you, you can get
       to play with super experienced players or super noobie ones.
       I do agree that some of the points stated by the experienced
       players of the game are legit, because I kind of ended in more
       than a few 30-50minute games, because we didn't have any
       experienced players at all, all casuals, 2 Terrans defeated in
       first 2-5 minutes isn't exactly the best start.
       I don't represent the casual players by any way possible, but I
       would love it if the Terrans had a little head start, for
       example starting outside with their gases instead of inside
       their base, because I'm sick and tired of them turtling inside
       their bases while letting the Zerg focus on the people that are
       stupid enough to step outside.
       Zergs need locusts! a flying unit that could be the answer to
       our prayers, but make them as slow and flimpsy as to not impend
       the overall balance of the game, let their corpses rain from the
       skies.
       As for units I love siege tanks, I think we need more vehicles,
       lets make siege tanks a thing!
       Blame Mett for making a Zerg Hex youtube channel, he's the
       reason I'm here, lol  ::)
