hydra are really nice right now, not too op, not too weak.
Problem isn't hydras.
Don't change hydras.
u dont think they trade way too well ? when they come before you
have masss marines or even just when u build the armory
I think a common sentiment in the forum is that early hydras are
too strong but late game they seem to be fine.
I've been needing much more T1s to do a reasonable push now but
once I reach higher tech the hydra count basically doesn't
matter anymore.

early game hydras are fine, late game ones are useless

Honestly, I think my only problem with early hydras is the lack
of regen delay which Rick suggested a change to. Regen delay
won't change much in larger skirmishes, so it's really just for
cheeses.
Thinking back... yeah late game hydras still don't scale well
(because of their range?).
Unrelated but I'd like to see how it giving hydras Frenzy would
change the dynamic ;D maybe locked behind A4

lel I feel like I should just post the game I played against
speed and najdorf the other day. Maybe some of these zerg op
guys can tell me what I did wrong. I think I only made 4 hydras,
maybe that was my mistake... 7 hydras surely would have stop the
150 marines at 14mins from doing any dmg to me :D
I can tell you why you lost.
You didn't quit before the 2:10 mark so it registered the game
as a loss! Can't lose if it doesn't count ;D

In stacked lobbies terran should still always win. It's gotten a
little closer for different reasons, but the main reason zerg
wins is that most terran players just suck at utilizing full
potential.
This really only is an issue in stacked lobbies... I still have
a 42/0 account with most games played in 3.x (you know, this
patch where terran had extremely overtuned firebats and really
strong bunker). Actually maybe those high skill terrans are a
problem, because zerg just kinda dies, but what are you going to
do about it? Can't punish players for being skilled, any nerf to
terran will make random lobbies even more zerg free win then
they are (and they are already pretty free win, it is beyond me
how people aren't managing to do any push and / or ion within 30
minutes, but they do).
Even with hydras being as shit as they are (can only fight by
face tanking which sucks^^) we got god gamers like asiown
complain here that hydras at 10 minutes have too much offensive
potential, really tells the story of how skillgapped this
community is... zerg gets online too fast for the average player
and waaaaaaaaaaaay too slow for skilled players and there is no
inbetween. I don't really care at this point anymore, I've been
changing my opinion ever since 3.x between zerg is unplayable
and terran is unplayable quite a bit, while winning 90% of games
either side. Despite winning it feels like an atrocious
experience a lot^^ right now I'm thinking no matter how game is
changed, I will keep winning and it will still be atrocious x)
No real winning to be done here anyways. See you ingame I guess.

Just to keep things civil. I've had first hand experience with
you today. And you are by no means a bad player, heck you might
even be a top player by NA standards. Just be aware that EU is a
slightly different playing field with different characters. ;)
and just for the record ping to NA is actually not that bad and
I'm fairly confident any of the good EU terrans can maintain a
pretty high ratio as the average NA zerg from my experience is
actually worse.
And to get back to topic: I do think hydras should get their 8
range back at some stage in the game. I'm thinking about armor
2/3. Yes they are now much better at bullying noobs and delaying
a push by a minute or two. But as soon as any number of vet or
just a whole bunch of T1s show up they shed their layers faster
than you can micro.

i play on EU there i have better ping
on usa because more lobbies
and i played today zerg wity you and never claimed to be a top
zerg.
from the other hand, you are just a little bit above decenet in
both terran and zerg. i literaly watched how bad you play in the
streams
