Rework pre-game select screen?

Hello! Was just wondering about this for quite a while now.
Because I feel like as of right now the race select screen is
just kinda "basic". My idea is to make it look like the smaller
version of the map from a bird's eye view so that all the T/Z
starting positions are visible. And instead of directly choosing
a "race" people would choose where they would like to spawn and
with that they can choose the race too by clicking on a spawn
point of either T or Z. This way every1 could choose their
position as well as their race. And it would implement some
"balance" to the game too because if for example a good player
sees a strong T side and wants to play Z then he can choose the
stronger side while the lest experienced Z can choose the weaker
side... ect.

yes so 2 good terrans can go next to each other and have even
easier time stomping zerg instead of having to rely on rng...
great idea

Also who in their right mind would pick mid? :D
The scenario that's best for the terrans here is to 'convince'
the worst players to take mid position and put the good ones on
opposite sides. Good luck beating that as zerg ;)

Well I tottally would pick mid and count on that I'll probably
get rushed and/or focused that's how the game is ATM (as I
sometimes get as random).
And (might be cause I'm not a good zerg) as of right know if
there are 2+ decent Ts on either side the game is close to
impossible to win as Z no matter their position, only if you
have a good mate and can engage in good teamwork, then yea (as
Zs should be imo).
And no offence to anybody but if you have to rely on 2 good Ts
being further apart, or not on the same side to win it's your
lack of skill as Z and/or the imbalance of the game, not the
position. In an ideal scenario (I know I know, there's usually
none) the position of the players matters little in the outcome
of the game, that's why I suggested this. Plus it would be
easier to all parties to prep for the initial game knowing where
they gonna spawn and make strategies in advance.
