Wow I agree Kelli! This forum is so interesting! I think it’s
such a gift to have this alternative platform to supplement our
in person and virtual session. I know I’m super verbal in
person, but regardless I love that this platform give us the
opportunity to digest and formulate thoughtful responses and
conversation. It’s so nice to hear from you all and gain deeper
       insight into everyone’s individual paths.
In chapter 1 Goldberg says “it’s as if we were all enrolled in
the same school but have each been assigned our own personalized
       curriculum.”
And how beautiful and true of each of our own experiences on
       this shared journey.

       Chapter 1:
Question #2: On a scale of one to five, how important is it to
maintain your spiritual independence? On a Scale of one to five,
how willing are you to adobe the advice of spiritual
       authorities?
If you scored higher on the first question, is it because you
are happily autonomous or because you are resistant to
authority? If you scored higher on the second, is it because you
have faith in traditions and leaders or because you don’t trust
       yourself?
Answer: On a scale of one to five, it is about ⅘
important to maintain my spiritual independence. Having my
spiritual journey be my own path is really important to me. But
I still yearn for connecting with others who are on a similar
path. Take YTT as an example, we are all doing this for our own
reasons but we all have similar interests. I am happily
autonomous in my spiritual journey. I prefer to be free in my
spiritual journey and follow what is best for me. There is not a
one size fits all for spirituality so independence is very
important to me. On a scale from one to five I am about a
⅗ willing to adopt advice of spiritual leaders. I am in
the middle on this one. I believe that guidance and advice can
be helpful from spiritual leaders but it is not the end all and
be all. Like I said earlier, having independence on a spiritual
journey is very important to me.
       Chapter 2:
Reminder: I like this quote “when you come to a fork in the
road, take it” I am going to write this quote down and put it in
       my YTT folder.
