       Personal Care
There's no easy path to enlightenment. The ancients understood
this, Buddha understood it, and nobody anticipated the dynamic
effect nor the impact yoga philosophy would have on the world
today. It has molded, shifted, and metamorphosed into different
ideologies since the inception of Western interest. Our
adaptation to life has evolved, yet, the principles have
       remained the same.
As an enlightened being in human form, you understand your
qualities, albeit both positive and negative. Nobody in this
world is truly whole, hence the practice of yoga. It is a
constant state of awareness and practice in life’s labyrinth,
making you a candidate to lead others. Your experiences as one
who has experienced, observed, learned, felt, understood,
misunderstood, grown, and loved your journey inspire others to
embark on their journeys. Not all will be reading the same book
as you, but as a guide, we encourage them to write their
stories- by living through ours first.
       Your Potential
Your potential begins with self-love and admiration. Look within
yourself and notice all the qualities bestowed upon you.
Highlight and celebrate your qualities for coming so far in life
and recognizing the blessings that have enabled you to reach
this point of awareness. We are our most prominent advocate or
worst enemy, and you can shift the energy in either direction.
       Finding Your Teaching Style
Standing in front of a room can be nerve-wracking. You may feel
like you’re performing in front of an audience. You may become
someone entirely different while you instruct versus who you are
outside of the classroom. We, as yoga teachers are conduits of
knowledge being passed down from one practitioner to another, so
       discover your style of expression.
It is important to realize not all students will gravitate
toward your style, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with
that. Some teachers may use humor or tell funny stories, while
others speak less. Some teachers may even cuss (and it does
happen), while others may sing and chant throughout their class.
Remember, you are you! The most important aspect of it all is
your confidence to convey the teachings of yoga in a space that
is inviting to all different mindsets.
       Inspiration
Inspiration comes from a thought, a person, creativity, a
vision, or a concept. It draws us into an idea, and we manifest
it into reality from the idea. So we are here, reading this
together because we have been inspired to dive down the rabbit
hole of yoga. To learn more about ourselves, the world around
us, and who we are as individuals and as a collective.
       Practice & Svadhyaya
Asana practice is required in this training program, but you’re
encouraged to practice the union of body, mind, and spirit off
that mat. This training is the implication of metaphysics
through yoga. Space, time, creator (Purusha), creation
(Prakriti), infiniteness, possibilities, essence, matter, and
being. Practice indulges a person in looking at all aspects of
life with the tools of yoga. Here are some tips for you to
       continue with self-study.

       Interactions with others

       Work & Life Balance
Life is a balancing act, as are responsibilities, ambitions,
entertainment, and relationships. You have to know when to tap
out when life gets overwhelming. Those around you will suggest
ideas and coerce you to make decisions you may not be ready to
make, going in a few directions. You either listen to them
because you feel obligated or supported. Or you can listen to
your body or listen to the ego. Whatever decision you make
should sit well with you, your gut, and your heart. If this
means compromising, sacrificing, trust the universe, or drawing
in the opposite, which is to resist, the outcome is something
you will need to show up for no matter what. Oscillate through
life, knowing when it’s good or becomes too much. Nobody should
make that decision other than you.
       Burn Out
Like any form of learning, teaching, working, etc., we all, at
some point, get burnt out. Overstimulation can cause us to
become sour about a topic or a job, and we’d be lying to
ourselves if we deny any moment in life where we wanted to call
it quits. Fortunately, yoga is a friend for life and will always
be there for you, even when you think you have had enough. Why?
Like humanity and civilization, it evolves. Your practice will
grow, and your thoughts, perceptions, wants, needs, and desires
will continuously develop. However, being the dancer of life you
are, you can always step back, step to the side, twirl around,
and even take breaks. Burning out is common for yoga, so give
yourself the grace to unwind when needed. Whatever you learn
through the process has value, and that’s where we experience
       the essence of Sadhana.
