Some resources

Hi guys,
Here are some useful resources to help you visualise the
landscape around Caroline Springs before our time:
HTML http://trove.nla.gov.au/picture/result?q=caroline+springs&l-availability=y&l-australian=y
This is a trove search of Caroline Springs (images)
Trove is a website run by the National Library of Australia.
Their aim is to provide as much of the NLA collection online as
possible.
HTML http://trove.nla.gov.au/picture/result?q=keilor&l-availability=y&l-australian=y
Here is a search for 'Keilor' to give you an idea of a much
older, nearby area.
HTML http://trove.nla.gov.au/picture/result?q=cobbledicks+ford&l-availability=y&l-australian=y
Here is a search for 'cobbledicks ford' which was once my
family's property and is on the way to Werribee from Melton.
The images show how the once agricultural land has been
converted to a recreation reserve, and provides a number of
examples of how humans 'use' this land now.
I hope this helps!

200 hundred years ago, there would probably be open land and a
large amounts of lakes. There maybe have not been any building
and if there was than it would've been extremely little. 50
years back there would've been buildings covering land and maybe
some still left untouched by the society. 20 years ago society
had grown and they started taking over most of the land. They
had heaps of buildings with residents in it. They had near by
shops and Caroline springs kept getting bigger and bigger as the
years past time. There is still some land available but they
have advertisements for new houses and a new towns which in the
future would probably be taken over by now. In 50 years time,
all the land would be used and maybe there would be only some
left, that would be little. There would be every shops near
every house and parks may or may have not been "closed" down for
more land.

The land 200 years ago would have been extra flat compared to
today. My reasons are that not many people would have been
living here and the magma from the volcanoes would have froze
solid over the land and made it flat. Not many people would have
been living here becuase Australia would still be getting
explored. 50 years ago some people would have moved in and start
to build homes. The land would be less flat becuase of the
structures that were built and the land that was used to grow
crops. 20 years ago there would have been many buildings here.
There were shops and houses built on the hundreds and plenty of
people would have lives here. 50 years in the future and the
land that is unused would most likely be covered with shops and
buildings and hardly any land would be left untouched. The
landscape would be completely covered by structures and roads
and there would most likely be no open land left.

200 years ago I think Caroline Springs would have looked like
open land with no buildings around. 50 years ago Caroline
Springs would have looked like farming land with very few
buildings. 20 years ago Caroline Springs would be just starting
to develop the land would mostly be used for farming but
buildings were starting to be built. In 50 years time I believe
that Caroline Springs will have no more room to build houses and
the cost of houses will go up a lot. There will probably be no
more land left and Caroline Springs will then be full developed.

Caroline springs 200 years ago would have looked flat due to the
lava that flew across the land from extinced volcanos. 50 years
ago there would have been farm land for crops to grow and
animals to live and been used as food to cell.

Caroline Springs 200 years ago would have been very flat due to
the lava from extinct volcanoes. It could have been used for
farming crops. 50 years ago it would have had human and animal
interaction. 20 years ago this is when Caroline springs was
roughly formed. Buildings and residence houses would have been
starting to build. 50 years in the future I have no idea

200 years ago, Caroline Springs probably had a lot of grass and
trees. Everything would have been very natural and there would
be no buildings. The land would have been very flat due to
volcanoes erupted lava from the past. There would have been a
lot of lakes and waterholes. 50 years ago, the landscape would
have look more transformed. A bit more hills and maybe even some
farming, or cattle drives. 20 years ago, there would have been a
minute number of buildings, roads, and even house. This is
probably when Caroline Springs was starting up as a suburb. 50
years in the future, I believe that there will be minimum land,
and natural areas. The land will dominated by buildings, cars,
and houses. There will be hardly any land left for agricultural
or farming uses.

200 years ago, I think Caroline Springs would have been
relatively flat and unsettled. There may have been a few
families or buildings, but I doubt that there were very many. I
think that there would have been a lot of lakes, fertile land
and widespread plant life.
50 years ago I think that the land around Caroline Springs would
have been primarily used for farming, however I think that there
would have been a small settlement of buildings and families.
20 years ago, I think that the plant shrubs and farming land may
have been cleared out to start building the suburban
neighborhood. I think that there would have been a large
settlement of buildings in Central Caroline Springs starting
build out. I think that land prices would have been pretty cheap
compared to today.
I think that in 50 years there won't be much free land or parks,
as the house land will have taken over. I think that it will be
more industrial and polluted. I think that the land and house
prices in the area will rise dramatically.

200 years ago it would have just been open land with animals
using the land as there habitats. 50 years ago I think farms
would have started to be built in the area. 20 years ago shops
and other buildings would have started to get built and roads.
50 years in the future I think there will be more buildings and
maybe even a tram line will run through Caroline springs, there
will be a lot of advances in technology.
