       XydiaV3 New Version

       As you all know me and Dan have been in developement of the
       final stage of Xydia before we finally release it into the
       public. This stage will consist of many new original and crucial
       updates that will drastically increase stability (Stop Nulls,
       increase speed etc.), and will also add a lot of variety into
       the game, which will give you something to do and prevent
       boredom. We've been continuously thinking of updates over the
       last few days that will attract new AND old members, because
       let's face it, although we all love Xydia it can't just be the
       same old thing everyday. It's time for a new layout, it's time
       for change. Although me and Dan add content everyday, like new
       bosses, mini-games, shops etc. We wanted something
       different...We wanted Extreme, we wanted ultimate...We wanted
       Xydia V3.
       We have asked the community what they want, we did research on
       other servers and saw what people liked, we thought of own
       original ideas, and decided it's time to make this stage. After
       this stage is complete, me and Dan will be taking a small break
       from adding content, all of Dan's time will be focused on fixing
       99% of all bugs and glitches, and to continue to make the server
       run smoother even though it runs very fast right now. My job is
       going to be advertise like never before, I will be uploading
       over three YouTube videos a day, I will also upload advertising
       pages on the major sites, and to ensure fun gameplay for
       everyone. I'll also be working on the forums A LOT, and really
       try to fix them up, and make them more clean and appealing.
       You guys wanted to know what's up with the new version, so this
       thread will include pictures/videos and words of what we're up
       too. It will be split into 9 different parts, which will be:
       • Player Safety and Bugs
       • Stability And Speed
       • Starting Phase
       • Minigames
       • NPC's And Bosses
       • Items (Skilling, PVP, Donator)
       • Skills
       • Teleporting System
       • Miscellaneous
       Player Safety And Reports:
       -New Reporting System:
       Some new members don't know about the forums, or it can just be
       a lot more convenient if there was a fully intergrated in-game
       report system. To activate this, you just click the red "Report
       Button" at the bottom of the gameframe, like you would on
       regular Runescape. This is fully automatic so if it sees a
       member advertising or spamming it will mute, or ban them. It
       will also send a copy of the report to a private section in the
       forums, this will help us keep order of reports and help us with
       appeals.
       New "Save" game button:
       We added this button just in-case you ever get a super rare
       drop, you can just save your character file quickly by clicking
       the Quest Tab and clicking "Save Game". This will prevent
       rollbacks and everything, and also ensure maximum safety.
       New "Anti-Spam" system was added:
       I made a fully working anti-spam system which works in a way if
       someone posts the same message in a rapid time continuously and
       excessively, it will automatically mute that character for a
       minute. The system also works so that if that minute expires,
       and they continue, the time will continue to increase. So if
       they continue to spam, they will be muted for 10 minutes and so
       on, and so on.
       Nulling Glitch (Logged in when you're not): This will be fixed
       when the new version is released. We have found out the problem,
       and believe we have eliminated the issue.
       Bank pins: A banker has been added at home that will help you
       set up your bank pin. These will help protect the items in your
       bank, if someone ever acquires access to your account.
       Stability And Speed:
       Speed: Me and Dan have really worked on the stability in the new
       version, and even with all the new updates and additions we have
       added, we were still able to increase the speed and processing
       of our server. Our server now reads things more clear in the
       main methods, which will stop any sort of lag or problem.
       Nulls and Lags: We really worked and added a lot of things to
       prevent almost all nulls in the new version. We really want to
       eliminate nulls and lags from our game, and spent a whole day
       just doing it, to get ready for the new version.
       Bugs And Clipping: As you all know, when you have a bug or
       glitch me and Dan are able to fix it within minutes. We also
       know however, that bugs can be unappealing for new people, and
       can also lead to some problems. Well we already have our
       anti-dupe system that has been working perfectly, so duping
       won't be an issue, but in the newer version you can also expect
       to see a lot less bugs and clipping totally fixed.
       Dependacy, Storage And Memory: Full props to Danny boy on this
       one. He increased the memory our server can take by a lot by
       adding in some pretty heavy duty codes. Good job to him on this
       one, it'll really be good when players increase.
       Starting Phase:
       Me and Dan have worked on a brand new starting phase that will
       make it a lot easier for new players to understand and
       appreciate Xydia when they log in. It will make it easier for
       them to understand the game, and help them out with any
       problems. No one likes logging onto a server, and not knowing
       what to do, or where to go for help.
       Getting Started: When you first log in, there will be a "Getting
       started" box that pops up, it will tell you some basic
       information and what to do and where to go to next. When you
       click "Continue" it will make a flashing arrow go above the
       Lumbridge Tutor's head indicating to go talk to him for any more
       help they may need.
       Lumbridge Tutor: This NPC has been modified heavily, his
       dialogue is now a lot more in depth and is actually some sort of
       help to new members. He gives you choices of what you want to
       know, for example you can ask "What the best Training spots
       are", "How to make money", "Where to go" etc.
       New starting items: The starting items were a tad boring, so we
       changed them up to make them more suitable for new members.
       They'll now be given a few options of the starting package they
       want to recieve, or it'll have just better and more helpful
       items.
       Minigames:
       We know custom mini-games are a huge hit, so we really wanted to
       add some mini-games for you guys.
       Duel Arena: We want to make the Duel Arena exactly how it was in
       2006 on Runescape, there will be a "Challenge" option, the
       interface, choices (No potions, No food, no items etc.),
       Staking, basically it will be fully working.
       Pest Control: Pest control has been completed. It's fully
       working, it has the shop were you can buy herbs, seeds, void, or
       experience in skills for the exchange of points acquired in the
       game. The NPC's are also fully working, the portal, the boat
       timer, and everything like Runescape's pest control.
       Nazi-Zombie Minigame: Without doubt, the best mini-game that
       will be released on Xydia. It will be really fun and consist of
       a fully working hi-scores, rewards, dialogue/story line,
       multiplayer and solo mode, working waves, working game-play,
       working mystery box and more!
       New Soccer Minigame (Works like Gnome Ball): We're not sure if
       this will come out when the new version is released, but we have
       started development for this brand new project. It'll be really
       fun if it is released, but I'll go more into details about this
       one at a later time.
       Items:
       Skilling Items: Some brand new skilling items were added into
       the game, along with golden items. To access the "Golden Items"
       shop, you need to have 5 mastered skills already, which will
       give members more motivation towards skilling. Golden items also
       work fully, and give double the experience the normal item would
       normally give. There's also a normal skilling shop, were you can
       find some new skilling outfits and items like the bowsword and
       more.
       PvP Items: PVP items will be released into the game in the next
       version like Vesta, Statius and those items. They'll have to be
       purchased with PKpoints, at the new PkShop. We're still not sure
       if we're adding dragon claws to this shop, or if they're going
       to be a prize in a mini-game or a boss drop. That's up to the
       community.
       DDS And Special Attacks: We believe we have fixed ALL special
       attacks in-game, they are now fully working. If you notice a
       problem when the version is released, please report it.
       Skills:
       We know some members love to skill, it's in their blood and they
       really want to hold that number one spot on the forums. The
       staff team think that's a great goal as well and which is why we
       have started to fix and perfect every skill. Hundreds of little
       fixes to skills have been added in the new version. I'll be
       updating and editing this thread, talking about each skill
       independently in the future.
       NPC's and Bosses:
       Drops: We have done some updates to the drop rates for bosses,
       and important NPC's, we have also added some new drops to NPC's
       that we think will be better for new players and for old
       players. Instead of dropping nothing, every NPC will drop
       atleast bones, and you'll see some useful items.
       Hits: Well, I was attacking a few NPC's and noticed that some
       hit very powerful. This will be altered, the combat system makes
       more sense now and follows a more specific order. Hits will be
       more accurate, and precise, which will make boss hunting more
       fun. It will also stop players from thinking the server is too
       hard.
       Bosses: We have added some brand new bosses into the world of
       Xydia, and have also a few NPC's into places we think fit them
       more, and make more sense. We're not going to release any real
       information on the bosses, and keep them more as a surprise for
       you guys.
       NPC following: I think this was by far the most needed update
       regarding NPC's. They will now stop following/attacking you past
       a certain point. This will stop them from moving to all sorts of
       random places, and will also stop people from moving bosses to
       home, or stuff like that.
       Teleporting System:
       Mage book glitch: Me and Dan believe we have fixed that small
       little bug were sometimes your mage book wouldn't open, and to
       prevent it you'd have to log in and out. It happened pretty
       rarely, but it must of been a bit annoying when it did.
       Commands: We have cleaned up a lot of the commands, and also
       updated the command list, rule list, drop list etc. It'll now be
       more thorough and help players out a lot more then the previous
       out dated list.
       Teleports: The teleporting system is going to be way cleaner and
       have a lot more variety. For example, the skilling teleport will
       no longer just have three choices but a lot more, the same goes
       for the other teleports. There will also be easier to access to
       places like Falador and Yanille with the city teleports.
       Miscellaneous:
       Shops- A bunch of shops have been added into the game like:
       -PkPoints Shop
       -Junk Shop
       -Currency Exchange Shop
       -Skilling Shop
       -Master Skilling Shop (Golden Items)
       -A few new convenient shops
       SkillCape Emotes: This was actually requested quite a few times
       by you guys, well it'll be released in the new version.
       Fully working Jad with waves: Well just on original Xydia, we
       have decided to re-invent the 7 wave Jad system, so in the new
       version, fire capes will be available to get with Jad working.
       Added features to Quest Tab: We added some cool little features
       to the Quest tab like Total online time you've spent, Pk Points,
       K/D ratio etc.
       Lots of weapon and armour adjustments: We have adjusted lots of
       the strength and prayer bonuses on weapons and armour like you
       guys wanted, we believe this will make the game more balanced.
       New Combat System: We have totally re-written the combat system
       yet, but we've made some crucial updates to it. These changes
       have made it more balanced, and flow better. Weapons speed have
       been changed slightly so they are more accurate, special attack
       speeds are correct, range speeds are correct, and mage speeds
       are correct. Also the amount you hit now follows a certain
       method you added, so that too will be more balanced and
       accurate.
       And honestly so much more guys that I'll update later. <3
       There's also a whole lot more updates that I didn't include in
       this thread to either keep them as a surprise, or because I
       simply forgot. However, I ensure you this is going to be the
       best stage of Xydia yet, and will be a lot more fun and add a
       lot more variety for you veterans and our newer players once we
       start advertising.

       No problem mate, we like doing updates to keep players active. I
       just want to get this version out quickly though, so I can
       really just focus on cleaning up the forums and advertising now.

       Wow that took me like 15 minutes to read, and had to go back
       over a few things because I couldn't believe what I was reading
       :P

       Thanks for the feedback guys, we can't wait to release it, it's
       looking amazing! I played the current version today for quite
       some time, and I couldn't believe how slow PKing was and how
       much better it is on the newer version and how more convenient
       all the new updates are. Also, a lot of behind the scene
       designing has been going into the forums, and you can expect the
       forums to look 10x better by sometime next week!
