Backing the home win. Strong away win last week for Reading away
to Derby. Pogrebnyak scored two of their three goals. D
Williams, R Drenthe and W Bridge, missing last week, will be
back in contention for this match. Pogrebnyak will face healthy
competition as Billy Sharp has joined the club and he is an
excellent striker at this Championship level. B Sharp will be
part of the home squad tomorrow. C Baird made his first start
for Reading last week as a holding midfielder. Sharp and Baird
are Premiership players.
As I had expected Birmingham defeated Swansea in the cup
earlier this week. Fantastic win for the club and this they
managed without both J Lingard, K Bartley and D Murphy. They
will return tomorrow, but most of the Birmingham players played
of course against Swansea. Home winner.
