Jack finished the kitkat in one more bite and looked at the tv
again instead of the less excited-looking Edgar. "What are we
watching again? Ninja turtles?"

"yeah basically. but with sharks and robots instead of giant
turtles. and also there's no ninjas" Egg explained helpfully,
relaxing more with the less meaningful subject.

"You might, asskisser." Jack yawned and continued to squint at
the screen. He could feel his hands and arms getting heavier as
his muscles relaxed. The loud combination of words, ideas and
pictures was covered ever so nicely with a nice, warm blanket.
The sides all tucked in. With all this quiet, Jack could focus
on less trivial things, such as this movie. Which was very dull
as it appeared choppy with the picture and the sound didn't
quite line up. Edgar seemed very relaxed and it was rubbing off
on Jack.

Egg, meanwhile, was finding himself gently straddling the line
between a sort of very satisfying relief to have his asshole,
sharptoothed friend back (and hanging out with him! and not
angry!), and a sort of gnawing nested fear that he was
hallucinating, dreaming, or some other explanation which would
involve Jack being gone as soon as the sun rose.
He settled on satisfying the second emotion by letting his arm
eyes just casually train on Jack, trailing over his injuries and
trying to find some way of reassuring himself of his own
reality, while focusing his primary attention on prattling about
the movie in the meantime.
"that's not even how you carry a gun like that anyway. What's he
think that is, a fucking- rifle or something??"

"Maybe he's wanna be CIA or something.." Jack yawned and let his
eyes stay closed as he listened to the bad scripting of the
movie with cheesy sound effects.

before settling back to watch.

A heavy sigh was Jacks answer to Edgars request. Followed by a
slight twitch in leg as the rest of his muscles played catch-up
in the sleeping game.
