I don't know where I am at all, he thought, but looking at man
with the blue grin that didn't smile, the words caught in a
bramblebush on his tongue before he could say them.
Sam was not the same, not the warm lubrication of alcohol on
RJ's brain and in his stomach that he remembered from the night
they met. Something in his tone was a gate latched shut. Feeling
like a cliffside was crumbling under him, RJ grasped for a hold,
something to keep him tethered to the rightness he was sorely
missing. He took one more, small step forward, moving only on
the moment of that reach.
"I'm! just taking a walk," he said, frightened by the taste of
falseness - of the words, of his courage - but what would happen
if he ran?

He smiled at the new-Sky with his cocky ego. "You have yet to
see."
There was the feeling coming from RJ, like cold air seeping from
under the door. Jack caught his confusion and ate it up till
until RJ could feel the ill intent of the two. Even then, Jack
kept at it hoping it would scare off the lost boy leaving him
unhurt.

"Mhm, really..." Skylor didn't seem to care too much on what
Jack had to say or tried to convey. The humans and mutants he's
seen so far didn't place any thread to him so on his own he
silently decided to investigate more. Where there no powerful or
dangerous mutants in this universe? At least some should be
useful as canon fodder if nothing else.
His eyes wandered once more to RJ who still remained close.by as
if he was actually part of the conversation. "You need
anything?" he casually asked like someone who was actually
worried though it did not seem to fit his appearance and the
hostility he was radiating at all.

Jack raised an eyebrow. Oh the humor! He silently waited for
this new-Sky to respond. Perhaps he didn't know what a clown
was.
