dipped his head in respect to the leader and giving a nod to the
deputy and his mentor. He glanced at Toothpaw and smiled warmly
"Hello Toothpaw. Hi Breakingstar and Coldfury." she mewed and
sat down, his bushy tail flicking, his blue eyes warm.[/font]

his cub Dancingkit trotting after him. She was easily larger
than both the apprentices, though that was to be expected,
seeing as she was not the same species of cat. Blinking at them
with dark blue eyes, she came to a halt by her father. "Hi
everyone." She said softly, her voice like a melody.
Her father's voice was rarely heard in the territory, except
maybe by his daughter, Coldfury, or Breakingstar. Now, however,
the tom's deep voice rumbled out from his chest. "Dancingkit is
old enough to be an apprentice now, and to gain a mentor,
Breakingstar." He murmured quietly. If the leader had gone by
size, she would have been large enough to start training moons
ago! He respected the age law of his Clan, however, knowing it
was safer for the apprentices. [/font][/center]

Icy blue eyes turned onto the lynx, and Breakingstar stared at
him. "I will perform the ceremony later on -- I would have
preferred if you asked me in private, not while we're out
hunting, though this time it's fine. Care to join us hunting?"
asked the ShadowClan leader, intense blue orbs flickering.

because I was coming over to help with the hunting party. Two
birds with one paw, as it were." Looking at his daughter, he
nudged her. "I'll be back soon, darling. Go on." She looked up
at him with large eyes. "Promise you'll come back?" She
whispered, blue eyes clearly showing her fear. The lynx's eyes
tightened with pain-- he knew why his daughter feared. Her
mother and twin brother had been killed when she was a young
cub, and she was terrified the same would happen to him. Licking
her forehead, he murmured, "I will always return for
you."[/font][/center]
