so you think you can HERB? [mca tryouts!]

"All WindClanners who want to learn some herbs for fun, or want
to turn their passion into their profession, get on in here.
It's only me and my apprentice, Frostkit, working in here, so I
want another apprentice!" Rapidfire yowled from where he sat, in
the shade just outside of his den, icy blue eyes glowing. If
these cats were lucky, his little Frostkit would show up as
well.

The small blue kitten slumped into the room, bambi and crystal
eyes clouded with tiredness and exasperation. Maybe they were
right. Maybe she was defective. Frostkit truly had a large
purpose on the planet, however. She had powers that no one else
had, really. In all essentials, she was a goddess. She, however,
didn't see it that way. She was a terrible, awful anomaly. Maybe
that's why Bowpaw teased her so much, ridiculed her for being
abnormal.
Oh look, he was hosting and herb training. The fucking medicine
cat was replacing her already! She knew she had been wrong to
trust her. "Rapidfire?" she said clearly, trying to feel strong
and appear so. 'You're demoting me. Aren't you?" The medicine
cat apprentice (or ex-medicine cat apprentice) had a sad yet
understanding look in her beautiful orbs. Her petite frame
racked at the thought, however. Being a medicine cat was all she
had ever wanted and felt good at.
Oh well, even if he did Mumma could just kick him out.

"Don't get that idea into your head. You are the senior
apprentice, technically, so when you're promoted I want another
cat well under way in training. Sound good? And you get to help
me pick!" Rapidfire grinned.

A little figure padded into the den, eyes bright and wide with
curiousity. What was this? What was that? Who were the cats
before zim? Yes, you heard right, zim. The little creature was
none other than Raphael, a young puppy who's gender had never
been much in agreement. Raphael watched them all, and noticed
Frostkit. She seemed quite unhappy, but luckily, it had just
been a big muddle.
With a happy "yip", Raph ran up to them in excitement. "Ooh hi
guys! A training session? Sounds fun! What are we gonna learn
Rapidfire?"

"Herbs. Basics, of course, because the one selected to train
alongside Frostkit will learn everything later. Sound fun?" The
tom asked, at first startled by the puppy, but he couldn't be
afraid. The thing was just to gosh darn cute for him! So, the
ex-ThunderClan Head Medicine Cat and current WindClan medicine
cat sat down once more, and waited for more to join them.

"Yeah," the pretty blue and white kitten said, crawling towards
the corner and closing her eyes. The three moon old kitten
wanted her mother, or even Orion, her father that hated her with
her. She wanted someone to cradle her and tell her it would be
okay. She felt dangerous, with the prophecies that were sure to
bring demise to all clans in her mind. Curling her tail over her
paws, she realized what Rapidfire was saying were only words of
reassurance, and that his happy-go-lucky attitude was making him
say things that weren't true. He was replacing her. He was
replacing her and there was nothing she could do about it. With
an inwards sigh, she tried to think of the happy times when
Projectedkit wasn't so disdainful towards her and Dixie was
around.
However, when the puppy came in her head turned. Zee was bright
and energetic, the kind of person she honestly liked to be
around. "Hi," greeted the medicine cat apprentice softly,
tilting her head to the side with her colorful orbs focused on
him. "What's your name?"

The young pup looked at them both and grinned. This looked
pretty neat! And who knew? It was worth a shot after all. "That
sounds good. That way everyone learns a lot!" Noticing a little
blue and white kitten, zee smiled and nodded in greeting. "My
name's Raphael, though most people call me Raph. What's yours?"
Raphael asked Frostkit.
