echoes in my head [chiefs]

[center]It was time the question that had been bouncing off the
walls inside his head be let out. She didn't want to confront
the leaders but damn, that's what it came down to. Chickadee let
out a trembling sigh before striding forward, head handing low
by his shoulders and dull yellow optics focused on the ground.
This was it. She had to do it now.
"Hey Chiefs?" Her mew was followed by a hard lump swallowed. Now
was a better time than any, "I have a question for either of
you." Words slipped form her maw as beads of sweat trickled down
her forehead. How would she bring up her rape so easily? Yellow
optics flickered to her slightly swollen belly and she sighed
just once more.
She wanted to be a high rank one day, and these kits? They
didn't help. They were just an obstacle. A pretty fucking big
one.

A lithe and limber form unlike that of a leader followed suit of
Chickadee's voice, yellow eyes alight with curiosity. Stork so
poorly contained his positive energy-- after all, he had nothing
to be ungrateful for. He had been born into the royal family
with Nellie, had been elected Chief by his (demon) mother, and
she had gone off to another clan in search of new positions. The
Tribe seemed relatively fine with a neutral alignment, and he
supposed he would continue leading this way.
"Yes, Chickadee?" he meowed, approaching the pretty she-cat with
a nod. "What is it?"

[center]Cinnamon paws shuffled uncomfortably as Chick didn't
know what to say. How to say it, more. The dilute calico decided
it was best to work around the subject until she absolutely had
to, "How are we affiliated with BloodClan? Alliance or no
alliance?" Her bulging belly thumped once as a kit kicked-- a
rape kit. How would she ever come to love these things? It
didn't matter if she was half the genes and the mother,
Chickadee just didn't know how to feel for them.
Dull yellow optics flickered to the Chiefs den, then back to
him. Was Nellie in there, too? Or was he alone?
