Don't tell me romance is dead [o]
By: Fragment Date: April 8, 2013, 7:56 am

" Roses blue and violets red. Say it isn't true,
romance isn't dead..." Paganpaw sang softly as the Medicine cat
apprentice cleaned her calico pelt. The she-cat wanted to
socialise more and the only way to do that was appear more
around the camp. Still, Paganpaw could be quite a snappy cat at
times and her OCD could play up.
The calico wasn't the steryotypical OCD sufferer, she didn't
hate germs and could be around cats as much as she liked.
However she did keep on counting things and 'scary' visions
could come into her head at random times. Still, the calico
would fight her mental dissorder till the end.
So the she-cat sat there cleaning her pelt, singing a gentle
tune to pass the time away.

"In a perfect world, one we've
never known... We would never need, to face the world alone...
They can have the world... We'll create our own... I may not be
brave or strong or smart, but somewhere in my secret heart I
know, love will find a way, anywhere I go, I'm home, if you are
there beside me... Like dark, turning in to day, somehow we'll
come through, now that I've found you, love will find a way..."
Dancingpaw sang in her soft soprano voice as she padded towards
her fellow medicine cat apprentice. "Hiya Paganpaw!" She said,
grinning.

" Dancingpaw, hi!" Paganpaw smiled as her
clanmate and friend padded forward towards the calico female. "
How are you today?" Usually, Paganpaw wasn't really the one to
strike up a conversation as she was more of a listener but there
was a first time for everything, right?

"The popular songs on the radio, tell us our life is precious,
although, even if i were replaced by somebody else, nobody'd
notice the absent me," Toothpaw murmured quietly, padding into
Dancingpaw's much larger body. "Oh my gosh! I'm so so so sorry!"
She exclaimed, already wiry fur sticking out even more.

Just as she was about to reply,
she was bumped into. The lynx cub grinned at the smaller cat.
"No worries." Her eyes gleaming, she sat down and smiled at
Paganpaw, and at Toothpaw. "Actually, I just told Daddy about my
being a medicine cat apprentice, and all he did was grunt." She
shrugged. "Of course, that's his version of yelling 'Hip hip
hooray!' and bouncing around camp like a hyper cub. After that I
was just singing and walking around. What's up with the two of
you?" She asked, blinking her huge blue eyes at the two
apprentices.

" Not much, if I'm honest. Pairiedog's teaching me
and the types of coughs but other than that? Nothin'. "
Paganpaw cast her memory back to when she'd second walked into
the den, { the first time it had been for she had try outs.} The
calico smiled at the wirehair that she'd only met briefly when
the calico had saw her in the apprentices den and went to say
hi.

"Ricochet, now take your aim, fire
away, fire away. Shoot me down, but I won't fall, I am
Titanium..." She sang quietly, sprawling on her side and
shutting her big blue eyes.

"Huh- oh. I was just singing a song I heard, 'cause sometimes I
used to feel like that, and I was bored," Toothpaw admitted,
somewhat embarrassed. These two had been in the minority that
hadn't bullied her as a kit because of her appearance.

" As you do. " Paganpaw pricked her ears as her
fellow Medicine cat apprentice sang away.
Eventually, the calico began to get to her paws and followed
them to where the wire-hair she-cat was standing.
The apprentice had become quite fond of Toothpaw, ever since
she'd saw her in the apprentice den.

"Y-yeah," Toothpaw muttered awkwardly. She still had her old
stutter, no matter how much she tried to do away with it.
