The letter I read was a thank you letter after an interview. I
think the letter was written well because even though the point
of the letter was made( to thank the interviewer ) she still
included why she should get the job. She started the letter off
with "I would like to sincerely thank you for the time that you
spent with me last Thursday" and then at the end of the second
paragraph she made sure to include "I feel that this job would
be a perfect fit for my skills and abilities, and that I would
definitely be a value-added addition to your company." The woman
who wrote the letter was happy and very pleased with her
interview and very confident. It almost seemed that the letter
was another interview because she was boasting her qualities and
why she was fit for the position of Administive Co-Ordinator. I
was unaware that a business letter included thank you letters, I
thought it was only to apply for a job. The format of this
letter was slightly different from the one we were taught in
class. She put her information in the top right hand corner when
we were used to top left hand corner. Also the text wasn't
justified to fill in all the space up to the margins which I
       personally think looks tacky.

Part of the success of the business letter is present when the
letter’s format is analyzed. The block format is correct, using
the one inch margins, the correct formation of the letter, and
the correct spacing in the letter. In this letter between
business correspondents they are able to relay their main point
quickly while keeping the amount of space to a minimum. Even
though they only use one paragraph the sender is able to state
the main point and provide his contact information. This body of
this letter is very formal, utilizing no contractions, and
keeping all spelling and grammar correct. The format of being
short and to the point made it easy on me, the reader, to
understand it as I read it, there wasn’t anything added or taken
away. The word choice is also kept simple, probably to make sure
the letter is as clear as possible. All of these points show the
       professionalism of this letter.
