Feather was, to simply put, bored. The fire had driven the pack
she lived in out of their home, which meant out of the place
where she knew most of the secrets. Like, where the mice nests
were, to scare them out of their home and watch them scatter,
only to come back and repopulate a few days later. Or all the
little dens the littered the territory, from past badger and
foxes. Ugh. Thinking about it not only made her even more bored,
but a little homesick as well.
Standing up, the pup looked for someone to play with.

Spotting the young one looking less than thrilled, Violet
decided to pad over and talk to her. The delta was quite fond of
the pup. "Hey there," the older wolf rasped, and coughed a
couple of times. The smoke in the air was doing her no favors.

Feather pricked her ears when she heard Violet's voice. She
quickly found the delta and grinned, hopping up onto her back
legs and offering a big smile. "I'm borrreeedd, Vio." she
squeaked to the older wolf, tail wagging.
